Finally, a way to organize all your negatives. This app automatically creates custom QR codes to quickly and easily record the time and location of your photo shoot. Its like EXIF for film! Open up the app and you will see a custom QR code embedded with your GPS coordinates as well as the current time. After the shoot is over and your film is developed, scan the code directly off the negative and get all the info stored in the QR code. You can even add notes about the shoot, including the type of camera used.

* Records type of camera used, time shot, GPS coordinates, and includes a place to record notes

* QR codes for negative film are inverted for easy scanning. Positive QR codes work with slide film.

* Also works with digital cameras that lack GPS capabilty.

My daughter decided she wanted to try shooting film, but I sold off all my film cameras years ago. Fortunately, I kept my darkroom gear so we borrowed an old Nikon and started shooting. Before long we had a notebook full of negatives, at which point I remembered one of the major drawbacks to film: If you dont take good notes, you have no idea when or where anything was shot.

I decided to solve this problem with an app. Simply open it up, get the custom QR code, add any notes you want, and shoot a picture of it directly off your iPhone screen. With just one easy step, you now have a record on film containing where and when you shot that roll. With any standard QR code scanner app, scan the QR code on your negative and get all the information you recorded right there on your phone. No more wondering when/where/why! And since its on film, it stays with all your other shots in your negative holder. You can even use it with a fancy DSLR that does not have a GPS.
